OCUFA Workshop – Writing Compelling Commentary

Dear Colleagues,

Please ensure that your members are aware of this wonderful opportunity to build their professional skill set as academic experts and commentators. We would especially encourage diversely-positioned women scholars to attend.  As the workshop is highly interactive,  registration is limited to 35 attendees. We encourage faculty associations to subsidize attendance where possible. We have kept the registration fee very low at $75 for tenured and $25 for contract academics and are using a substantial portion of our annual budget to do so. Also, if a registrant needs a hotel room, they must book as soon as possible. There will be a major conference in Toronto starting May 15 and hotel space will be very limited after May 14 for a week (and prices very high).  The registration form on the OCUFA website has further information and space to indicate any special needs (e.g. dietary). Lunch and coffee breaks are included in the registration fee.

Status of Women Committee members can provide further information on the workshop content. They are Helene Cummins, Brescia College; Carla Rice, University of Guelph; Diana Parry, Waterloo University; Eva Karpinski, York University; Laura Buker, Lakehead University.
