18.2.5.3 In fulfillment of its commitment to Members’ research and scholarly activities under 18.1, and 18.2.5.1, the University shall provide funds for the support of research of Members appointed to Provisional or Candidacy Appointments. These start-up funds shall be awarded by the Vice-President: Academic on the recommendation from the Dean. By December 1 of each year, the Vice-President: Academic shall submit a report to the Joint Liaison Committee on the University’s start-up grants. The report shall list the total amount of the funds, the names of recipients, and the amount of each award.
