Dear colleagues,
I am reaching out to you today about the news that Laurentian University has filed for court protection under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement due to financial challenges it is facing. Rest assured that we take the news that the government is taking an active role in university finances very seriously. OCUFA is working on an urgent response to this announcement.
In the coming days, we will need to stand together as a confederation and take action to ensure this provincial reach does not stretch further into our institutions.
