Act now: Demand a stop to insolvency proceedings and secure funding for Laurentian University!

Dear colleagues,

As you’re aware, Laurentian University is filing for court protection under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act (CCAA) due to financial challenges it is facing as a result of poorly considered and reckless administrative decisions and the erosion of public university funding.

Laurentian University is a public institution, not a private sector corporation.

The federal and provincial levels of government have a responsibility to step up and provide Laurentian with the funding it needs, not just to survive for a few more months, but to secure the public institution’s long-term future.

You can help Laurentian professors, librarians, staff, workers, and students: click here to send a letter demanding the provincial and federal governments intervene to stop the CCAA insolvency proceedings and provide long-term, stable funding to Laurentian University.

Please share this widely with your networks.

In solidarity,

Jenny
